MacBook Leather Case Care Guide: How to Use and Care for Full Grain Leather Cases on MacBooks

If you have chosen a leather MacBook sleeve from KraftCover to protect your MacBook, it may be a new era in your workspace. Now it’s time to review the care guide to ensure you enjoy this stylish accessory for a long time. Our MacBook leather sleeve collection includes two different leather textures: self-patterned leather and full-grain leather.

You can easily clean the KraftCover leather case you purchased for your MacBook by removing it from the device in one move. The inside of the case is covered with carbon fiber lining. Wipe this part with a damp microfiber cloth. Then clean the front side, that is, the leather-covered cover, according to the instructions below.

How to Clean a Leather MacBook Case?

When cleaning your leather MacBook case, it is very important to use soft materials and stay away from harsh chemicals. For this reason, we do not recommend using industrial leather cleaners or hard soaps. Industrial leather cleaners contain harsh chemicals and are generally used on sofas, chairs, and shoes. Harsh chemicals can cause the leather to fade more quickly.

So what should you use?

  • To clean your leather MacBook case, start by using a light, soft microfiber cloth. Microfiber cloths don't easily scratch the fabric they're used on, so your leather MacBook case will be less prone to wear.
  • To clean, dip the cloth in the warm water you have prepared and squeeze it well. When you apply the cloth to your leather case, make sure that only moisture, not running water, comes into contact with it.
  • When wiping the leather case with a microfiber cloth, do not rub it. Instead, try gently moving the cloth over the leather. Since the fabrics we use are wipeable, most of the accumulated dust and dirt will come off this way.
  • After gently wiping the leather, take a dry microfiber cloth. Gently dry until there is no wet area left on the leather.
  • Wait for the leather MacBook Pro case you dried before putting it on your device. Make sure you are in a dry environment without sunlight. Do not use a blow dryer, dryer or sunlight for drying. Because the heat transferred by the blow dryer or sunlight can cause structural deterioration.

Do you have a spare fabric cover that you purchased while cleaning your leather case? MacBook Air covers and MacBook Pro covers, which are made entirely of wipeable linen fabrics, are resistant to even stubborn stains like coffee. We have conducted the necessary tests against coffee stains even on our lightest colors in our workshop. Water and a microfiber cloth instantly remove many stains from the case. In this way, you will have a long-lasting MacBook protective case experience. Check out the ESSENTIALS and SHINE collections for linen MacBook protective case products.
